This class has passed but we will have another series in the fall so visit again soon!

This class is an introduction to fine leather work using traditional European techniques, and the first of 3 projects. You don’t have to sign up for all three, but this is where you begin. Each project will incorporate a new technique and build on the last.

Using beautiful French leather, we’ll make a simple card and money holder. We’ll learn about cutting, gluing, creasing, edging, using pricking irons, and importantly, saddle stitching with two needles and one length of thread. Yes, all that and more! This class includes an overview of the tools, supplies, and leather most commonly used in leather craft. It’s a great way to dip your toes in the world of leather making. If you get pulled in, be warned there is no turning back ; )
